Murrysville Veterinary Associates

Fear Free Pet Care
At Murrysville Veterinary Associates, we have created our space and established a culture centered on the animal's experience with the Fear Free concept at its core. Animal Arts architect Heather Lewis has designed Murrysville Veterinary Associates utilizing fear-free criteria including separate entrances and exam rooms for dogs and cats and a color scheme that is pet friendly.
The Fear Free initiative aims to “take the ‘pet’ out of ‘petrified’” and get pets back for veterinary visits by promoting considerate approach and gentle control techniques used in calming environments.
Client Reviews & Testimonials
Our staff at Murrysville Veterinary Associates values feedback from our clients. Here is just a small sample of the hundreds of happy and healthy pets that we have cared for since 2017.
We have had nothing but good experiences with Murrysville Vet Associates. They provided wonderful support and were so compassionate when we had to put our beloved dog and cat down over the past few years. With our new dog, Dr. Schumacher was been an absolute godsend. He is very responsive with messages and went out of his way to research options for our dog when we couldn’t afford something. He is honest and truly cares about his patients and their families. All the techs and everyone we have come in contact with are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them for your furry pals!

Dr. Ackerman and the staff at MVA are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their work and the service they provide. They handled my little Ace with such care. Due to Covid 19, they have health and safety measures in place. The vet tech picked up my dog from my vehicle and returned him after his appointment. Then Dr. Ackerman came out for a post-appointment consult. I'm glad he is healthy and was able to receive excellent quality care. They really are the best.

I can't say enough good things at Murrysville Vet. ALL of the staff are kind and compassionate and Dr. St. John - you will never find anyone better. Last year, my one basset hound was so sick - she tried to solve the issue and finally had me to go PVSEC. Turned out she had eaten a stick and the fluid in her belly had become septic. Fast forward - she had surgery and made a full recovery. If it hadn't been for Dr. St. John, I hate to think what would have happened. My vet at that time, had no time to see my dog. After that experience - all of my dogs (6) and cats (4) are going there. You won't find anyone better.
